Daughter have been releasing some great covers lately, Daft Punk’s Get Lucky and a mash up of Bon Iver’s Perth and Hot Chip’s Ready for the floor. I think both songs work surprisingly well and still have the Daughter ‘sound’.

The Cocteau Twins pin was purchased in 1991 at a Baltimore gig on the Heaven Or Las Vegas tour. This was the first of four times I saw Cocteau Twins. It’s not an especially nice piece of merchandise, but after being a fan for years it was exciting to see official band merch.
The small enamel 4AD pin dates from roughly the same time, or a bit later. I’m pretty sure I begged a Warner Bros. rep for it during the time I was working for Kemp Mill Records.

Getting back to posting stuff on my other tumblr.

It’s my dream come true. Three of my top favorite artists in one song: Daughter, Hot Chip, and Bon Iver.

Recorded live & exclusively for Zane Lowe on BBC Radio. Daughter’s mash-up of Bon Iver’s ‘Perth’ & Hot Chip’s ‘Ready For The Floor’.
